Savvy Scan (“we,” “our,” or “the App”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.<\/p>

Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely encrypted password.<\/p>

Receipt & Financial Data
To provide the App’s core functionality, we collect:
– Photos of receipts you upload or scan
– Data extracted from those receipts, such as store name, purchase date, item names, prices, and totals
– Any categories or notes you assign to your purchases<\/p>

Automatically Collected Information
We may collect basic technical information such as device type, operating system version, and app usage data to help us maintain and improve the App.<\/p>

2. How We Use Your Information<\/p>

We use the information we collect to:
– Create and manage your account
– Store, organize, and display your scanned receipts and spending data back to you
– Improve the App’s features and reliability
– Communicate with you about your account or App updates
– Comply with legal obligations<\/p>

3. How We Store Your Information<\/p>

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a third-party backend service provider. Supabase hosts our database and file storage on secure cloud infrastructure. We use industry-standard security practices, including Row Level Security, to ensure that only you can access your own receipts and account data.<\/p>

4. Data Sharing<\/p>

We do not sell your personal information or receipt data to third parties. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
– With service providers (such as Supabase) who help us operate the App, under confidentiality obligations
– If required by law, subpoena, or legal process
– To protect the rights, safety, or property of Savvy Scan, our users, or others<\/p>

5. Your Rights and Choices<\/p>

Account Deletion: You may delete your account and all associated data at any time directly within the App, under Settings.<\/p>

Access & Correction: You may view, edit, or delete individual receipts and data within the App at any time.<\/p>

Data Export: You may contact us to request a copy of your data.<\/p>

6. Data Retention<\/p>

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted from our active systems, except where retention is required by law.<\/p>

7. Children’s Privacy<\/p>

Savvy Scan is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.<\/p>

8. Changes to This Policy<\/p>

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.<\/p>
